Benefits:
There are several benefits for the citizens of US. Here the main benefit is Voting, only us citizens can vote in the Federal Elections and job benefits, tax exemptions, scholarships, flexible to travel , financial aid grants and children under 18 will automatically become US citizens when their parents become naturalized. And if you choose to retire in a different country then also you will receive full Social Security benefits (if you have the USA citizenship only).

Eligibility:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You have to be a permanent resident for 5 years
- You must live in the District or State in which you are applying for at least 3 months before applying
- You must have the permanent residence
- You must have resided continuously within the U.S. from the date the application was filed
- You must have the loyalty to the U.S.
- You must have the elementary level of understanding, reading and writing of the English language

Applying Process:
- First you have to fill the application form N-400. You have to fill the answers honestly, because you have to answer the questions about your application in your interview
- You have to include 2 photographs. These photos must be passport style, must be in color, no older than 6 months, the photo should show full face of you
- If you are a permanent resident of the United State , you must submit the Form I-551. You have to submit the Required Documents based on your circumstances
- You have to send your green card and other documents copies only. You should not send the originals, when you attend the interview you have to carry the originals with you
- Then send your application, required documents and the Fee to the USCIS. You have to pay the fee to the USCIS Lockbox, here the Fee ($390) must be in the form of check or money order
- After this you will get a receipt from the USCIS service center, so please have this number with you. Then you can check the status of your application in the USCIS website
