Citizenship Required Documents

- You have to fill the Application Of Naturalization Form (N-400), if you are younger than 18 years use the Application for a Certificate of Citizenship Form (N-600).
- You must have the green card to apply for the US citizenship. If you are married to a US citizen then you have been a permanent resident of US from 2 years and 9 months.
- You must be a permanent resident of the USA for at least 5 years and no single absence from the United States of more than one year.
- You must have to physically present in the USA for at least 30 months out of the 5 years and 6 months in every 1 year.
- You must live in the District or State in which you are applying for at least 3 months before applying.
- You must be a loyal person to the US and you must have the good moral character like you have paid your taxes, no criminal records and more.
- You must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English(If you are 50 years old and have been a lawful permanent resident for at least 20 years, then this will not be applicable).

Dual Citizenship

Dual citizenship means that a person is a citizen of 2 countries and it is also possible to become a citizen of more than 2 countries. Here each country has its own laws then the automatically the person have the different laws based country citizenship policy. Here dual citizenship is not a process, it may occurs automatically. If a person becomes a citizen of another country, and he/she is also the citizen of the birth country then we called him/her as a Dual Citizen.
