Green Card Renewal

Green card is an identification for a lawful permanent resident of th USA, validity of the Greencard is 10 years, you should check the expiration date printed on the front of the card. Green Card must be renewed with in six months before expiration date. The Green card can be renewed by filing Form I-90 with USCIS.If you lost your Green card then you can replace it also. If your greencard stolen, mutilated, destroyed, becomes illegible, or if it contains incorrect or outdated information then also you can replace it by file the petition to the USCIS.

Requirements & Process:
- First you have to download the form I-90 used to file the petition for Green card Renewa from USCIS websitel, it can be done in online also
- $130.00 filing fee should be paid by check or money order payable to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
- Two colored photographs, based on the requirements specified on the I-90 form
- Expiring or Expired Greencard
- Photocopies of the front and back of your expiring or expired Green Card
- Government issued identification like driving license or state-issued identification card etc

You have to send the completed I-90 form along with the above requirements to the USCIS apllication support center in your area. When you visit USCIS they will review your aplication then your current card will be returned to you. Once your application is approved then you will get a mail from the USCIS, this mail contains your green card valid for 10 years(form I-551).
